We had a family trip in April that took us to Disneyland. There were 11 people in our group and it was fantastic to see Gramma Doris make the trip. Here we are, all ready for a day at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Lauren and Nicholas along with their cousins George and Molly were completely blown away with the Disneyland experience. The kids loved meeting the Disney characters. Their Moms and Dads had nearly as much fun as the kids and were just as tired at the end of the day. Many of the rides that I remember as a kid are still there creating magic for another generation. There are also some new and very cool rides that have been added since I was 12. California Adventure is a whole other theme park that is attached to Disneyland. It has lots of great rides and more of the Disney Magic. At night when the lights come on the entire place is enchanted and when the fireworks light up the sky you really get the mpression that every day is special at the Happiest Place on Earth.

We found all of our favorite Disney Characters who were happy to sign autographs and take pictures. Mickey greeted us as we entered the gates and as we looked around we found Woody and Jessy of Toy Story, Winnie the Pooh with Tigger, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Aladdin and even Cruella De Ville. When the parade came down Main Street we all found a seat and enjoyed the show.

We spent two days at Disneyland and there was rain on the second day. Coming from Saskatchewan, poor weather doesn't slow us down. With some rain ponchos and warm clothes, we were having a great time in the rain. The lines were much shorter and by noon the rain was over. The first photo above on the left shows us riding the Disneyland Train around the park. The center two photos show us in our Rain Gear. Above right is all of the Grandkids with Nana and Pompa in front of the river boats. It was a wonderful trip full of memories that we will keep forever.
